Conceived from reclaimed marble offcuts, Melting Point reinterprets surplus material as a refined artifact.
The mirror’s fluid, dissolving perimeter evokes the image of ice in transition — a quiet yet powerful reference to climate change.

Marble, a material traditionally associated with rigidity, monumentality and permanence, is sculpted into a form that appears to soften and erode. This intentional inversion of its inherent qualities creates a compelling tension between geological endurance and environmental fragility, between what is meant to last and what is rapidly disappearing.
Presented at the gala charity auction, Melting Point achieved one of the highest bids during the online auction that followed in the subsequent days, demonstrating how design excellence can translate into tangible support for meaningful causes. The piece was further distinguished by being selected for the cover of the CREAID exhibition catalogue, becoming a defining visual emblem of the edition.

More than a mirror, Melting Point is a reflection on climate change, responsibility and transformation — a meditation on the delicate balance between endurance and loss, permanence and disappearance.
