5.520 sq.m, 46 units x 120sq.m
The building consists of two residences of 120 sqm each. They form part of Aetheria Heights, a large residential development of 250 units located at Peyia, Cyprus.
The development consists of luxury villas and apartments of different sizes and contains a central square, a gallery, an arts and crafts center, a mini market, a community center, a gym and a restaurant/café.
All residences are energy-zero, meaning the total amount of energy used by the buildings on an annual basis is roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site.
The aim was to take advantage of the site’s topography and climate characteristics, and through our design compose not only living spaces but also a lifestyle that combines luxury with ecology and exploits the health and environmental benefits of solar energy and passive energy systems in order to create an experience of quality, uniqueness and exclusivity.
The two residences have exactly the same spaces without being symmetrical. They offer flexibility and comfort and blend with their natural surroundings. Custom made fins offer variation to the buildings’ façade and act as solar shading devices.
