Institute of Life – IASO Hospital
The design objective for the Institute of Life was to create pioneering spaces that house the assisted reproduction unit of IASO Hospital, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge medical facilities with inviting, comforting environments to support prospective single parents and couples on their journey towards parenthood.
Inspired by two Greek words, “ANGALIA” (n.), meaning “embrace,” and “ZO” (v.), meaning “to live,” the concept of “ANGALIA-ZO” was meticulously woven throughout the entire space. The design philosophy ensures that the environment is not only technologically sophisticated but also nurturing, offering a holistic and supportive ambiance for the visitors.

The main waiting and reception area is defined by relaxing circular seating and vertical elements, forming an interior landscape that ensures privacy and confidentiality.
Various design elements such rounded wall corners and fluid partitions create a harmonious flow, inviting patients into a space that feels both secure and welcoming.
The fluid and rounded shapes of the built-in furniture, coupled with wooden finishes and a thoughtfully curated fabric colour palette, create a softened, and soothing environment.
Custom-designed flowerpots embody the principles of biophilic design, integrating nature’s inherent healing properties to positively influence human psychology.
The colour palette of earthy hues offers a backdrop to blue mint and purple touches composing a refreshing inviting environment of relaxation.
